Winston's second ability, Barrier Projector, creates a bubble shield that absorbs a small amount of damage before cracking and breaking. This is best used as a way to temporarily slow down or distract enemies, rather than as a pure defensive ability like, say, Reinhardt's shield. Finally, Winston's ultimate, Primal Rage, not only fills his health bar up to 1000 hitpoints, but it allows him to punch enemies for massive damage and use his jump pack every three seconds. Simply put, Winston should be used as a distraction whenever possible, and then as a tool of destruction once his ultimate meter is totally full.

While it seems like an obvious statement that good players are lethal and weak players are easy to kill, this seems most applicable to Hanzo, Genji's brother and the resident archer of the group. A sniper whose arrows do massive damage upon contact, Hanzo is the type of hero that needs a bit of practice time before one feels totally comfortable. Still, those who put in the required practice with Hanzo will find themselves mowing down enemies left and right.
When you're new to Overwatch, Bastion is the absolute bane of your existence. Inexperienced players far and wide complain that he's overpowered, but thanks to Overwatch's mechanic of enabling in-match hero swaps, savvy players can get some really simple kills off of everyone's favorite bird-loving robot.
Of course, no Heroes of the Storm update would be complete without some balance changes . Chromie and Tracer all saw buffs and nerfs to a few of their talents. Mercy's Caduceus Staff allows her to attach a healing beam to a single ally in her immediate area, and this should be done as much as humanly possible. There isn't necessarily a point to playing Mercy if the Caduceus Staff isn't the main focus of your activities, especially considering that Mercy's secondary abilities all play into her knack for healing teammates. Guardian Angel is both Mercy's most useful ability and the skill that most players completely forget to use. By pointing your reticle at one of your teammates, you'll be able to rapidly fly towards them, allowing you to either get right up in the action or heal a distant enemy. The one thing to keep in mind with Guardian Angel is that you need a clear path towards your teammate, so you're not going to be able to warp through walls or ceilings.
Mei's first core ability, Cryo-Freeze, encases her in a chunk of ice, both protecting her from further damage and healing any missing health over time. It's imperative that any Mei players keep this ability ready to go for whenever she is close to death, as it can essentially become a 'Get out of jail free' card during particularly brutal battles. Her second ability, Ice Wall, is one of the most iconic hero abilities in Overwatch Maps, and you've almost certainly come across it dozens of times during your time on the battlefield. This ability allows Mei to place a massive wall of ice (pretty self-explanatory) onto the battlefield, which impedes enemy progress and can save a great deal of lives. If you find yourself capturing an objective and want to give your team a bit of extra breathing room, this is a sensational battle-forcing ability. Finally, her ultimate, Blizzard, is a large area-of-effect ability that functions similarly to the primary firing method on the Endothermic Blaster, only in a much larger circular area. Not only does this do damage over time, but it can freeze enemies entirely, making it really simple for your teammates to come in and finish off the job.
