When you first start Genshin Impact , you’re asked to pick your Traveler from a set of siblings, then asked to decide what their Element will be. Initially, you’re given a choice between Geo or Anemo, both of which offer perks. There are other Elements you can switch your Traveler to as you play — Dendro and Electro — but the Element you pick in the beginning will have an effect on your character until then.
Geo Travelers have strong Elemental Bursts, which come in handy for shielding your team from damage, but they tend to do less damage overall than the other Elements, making them more of a support than a Main or even Sub-DPS. So here is a look at the weapons which best suit a beginning Geo Traveler.

This sword raises Base Attack between 39 and 401, depending on your Traveler’s level, and has a substat of Crit damage that comes with a boost ranging from 10.2 to 46.9 percent.
Whenever your Traveler’s HP is over the 90 percent mark, their Crit Rate will get another 14 percent increase.

The Traveler’s Crit hits will have a 60 percent chance of creating Elemental Particles, which in turn make six Energy for them. Since they inflict less damage, this weapon restoring Energy is more for the ability to maintain them as a support for the party.
8 The Black Sword - Four Stars
The Black Sword can only be obtained through the Gnostic Hymn section of the Battle Pass, which is the part of Genshin Impact that requires purchase. It also has a secondary stat of Crit Rate that raises this stat between six and 27.6 percent, depending on the Traveler’s level. They’ll get a 20 percent boost to the damage they deal when using Normal and Charged Attacks, as well. If either of these hits as critical, 60 percent of their HP will regenerate.
7 The Amenoma Kageuchi - Four Stars
The Amenoma Kageuchi is a great sword for your Traveler because you can forge it yourself at the blacksmith’s shop, so it comes down to getting materials and not grinding to find or earn it. The Prototype Rancour can be obtained one of two ways: either forging it for your Traveler at the blacksmith’s shop, or by achieving Adventure Rank 10 and collecting it as a reward. This sword increases Base Attack between 44 and 565, and applies a Physical damage bonus between 7.5 and 34.5 percent with its substat.
When hitting an enemy, the Prototype Rancour will give your Traveler’s Normal or Charged Attacks an extra four percent to the Attack and Defense stats for six seconds. You’ll be able to stack this a maximum of four times.
5 The Sacrificial Sword - Four Stars

Anytime the Traveler hits a target with damage from their Elemental Skill, they’ll have a 40 percent chance of it ending its cooldown period. This is very helpful to allow them to stay active since they are weaker when they do attack.
4 The Festering Desire - Four Stars

This sword will increase the Traveler’s Elemental Skill damage by 16 percent, and give its Crit Rate a six percent boost, too, offering them a slight advantage when targeting enemies. The Festering Desire also works with multiple Elemental versions of the Traveler, if you ever think of switching from Geo to one of the other Elements .
3 The Aquila Favonia - Five Stars

It will raise their Base Attack between 48 and 674, depending on level, and grants a Physical damage bonus between nine and 41.3 percent with the substat.
The Traveler’s overall Attack will increase by 20 percent when equipped with the Aquila Favonia, and it can trigger the Soul of the Falcon of the West. This effect can potentially regenerate HP equal to the max amount of Attack, and deal 200 percent of Attack as pure damage.
2 The Summit Shaper - Five Stars

This weapon will increase shield strength by 20 percent. Since the Geo Traveler is chiefly good at being a shield, this will only reinforce their strength for team support. Whenever they successfully hit an enemy, they’ll see a four percent boost to Attack for eight seconds, Genshinportal.Com and this can be stacked up to five times. If they make a hit while their shield is active, the percentage goes up to 100.
1 The Primordial Jade Cutter - Five Stars

Your Traveler’s HP will get an increase of 20 percent with this sword, and they’ll have an Attack Bonus based on their maxed HP. This will be factored as 1.2 percent of max HP stat.
