-Who would have ever thought a mobile game would end up on my list? As a big fan of the Hitman franchise since its second iterationwhen it was announced that Square Enix Montreal would be working on a mobile [[http://WWW.Google.de/url?q=http://Www.Fmrqr.com/comment/html/?55976.html|SLG Game Building Guide]] in the same universe, I was no doubt concerned. To my surpriseit ended up being one of the best games of the year. It takes the scenarios we’ve come to love in the full-fledged stealth games and creates bite-sized puzzlesThere’s no game on my Nexus 5 that I played more of this yeartrying to master each mission, while doing so with the least amount of turns or picking up the optional briefcase. While it’s not what I hope the series will move towards in the futureit is a nice side activity that will distract you for a couple minutes at a time.+Destiny 2 has finally, truly been revealed. Bungie and Activision finally lifted the curtain on the much-anticipated sequelshowcasing gameplay for the first timeHardcore Gamer was able to sit down with Bungie's Community ManagerDavid 'DeeJ' Dauge to discuss what new stuff Destiny 2 brings to the table and what the future holds for the franchiseFor more on Destiny 2be sure to check out our in-depth preview of the campaignInverted Spire strike and multiplayer.

-Whether you’re a grown adult or a child, who doesn’t love PokémonThe release of the Gameboy Advance began arguably the best era for handheld gamesand leading the march was Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. These twelve year old games brought us the third generation of Pokémon we love todayso it seemed only fit for Nintendo to remake the duoWith their new 3D engineNostalgia hits hard for those who grew up in the late 90s and early 00s, as Game Freak was able to recreate everything you’ve come to love, while at the same time adding on top of itWhile it would still be great to see new Pokémon adventures, this is one of the few cases a remake was warranted. Now all we need a second remake of Red and Blue. +(Image: [[https://images.unsplash.com/photo-1624138123070-e5db0ddf6b26?ixid=M3wxMjA3fDB8MXxzZWFyY2h8Mnx8c2xnJTIwZ2FtZSUyMGhlcm9lc3xlbnwwfHx8fDE3NTg4NjA4MzJ8MA\u0026ixlib=rb-4.1.0|https://images.unsplash.com/photo-1624138123070-e5db0ddf6b26?ixid=M3wxMjA3fDB8MXxzZWFyY2h8Mnx8c2xnJTIwZ2FtZSUyMGhlcm9lc3xlbnwwfHx8fDE3NTg4NjA4MzJ8MA\u0026ixlib=rb-4.1.0]])What does relationship mean for lore though? Of course, the actual relationship aspect of Destiny is therebut it’s always been thereDestiny 2 is not only creating worlds, thoughit’s actually telling stories within those worlds. The people that inhabit these spaces are important and Bungie seems to be doing everything to make the player care about themFrom the looks of interaction with those around you while traversing the many environments Destiny 2 has to offer, the aspect of relationship is everywhereZavala giving command to the player and other NPCs around himIt creates sense of urgency immediately invoking a compassion that only comes from feeling connected to others. Then there is the EDZ new area for players to call homeThe people they were protecting have started forming communities here. Actively participating in these places will create a more grounded sense of community. It’s the reason WoW cities felt so lived inthe people that inhabit these spaces are going about their daily lives. It isn’t about, go out, kill aliens, return. It feels like being the Pavlovian dog waiting for the treatNone of that seems to be in Destiny 2.
-The Last City isn’t the only thing out there. One of my first memories of Destiny is one of the story missions, the name of which escapes me at the momentIn this particular mission, after activating some beacons, your Ghost makes the comment of things deeper out in the universe, things unseen and ancientWhile this may have been reference to Crota at the time or even Oryx, it still felt as if Bungie was hinting at lot up its sleeveWhen really digging into the Destiny Grimoire or even just playing the game, it’s obvious humans expanded across the stars at rapid pace. Destiny 2 is following in suit, with the three new locations Titan, Nessas and Io they couldn’t be digging the heels more into loreThese are spaces that will show off how humanity took control of their…Destiny. The Traveler brought with it the Golden Age and Destiny 2 seems to want to show just what that means.+

-While I didn’t mind Dragon Age II, it still was a step down from the incredible hardcore experience that was OriginsBioWare was able to meet in the middlecreating a more modern Action-RPG while maintaining an old school essence. There was no game on this list that I spent more time with than Dragon Age: Inquisition, and for good reason. It’s an RPG of the highest caliber, introducing us to Thedas like we’ve never seen it before, and some of the most affable characters to ever grace the Dragon Age fictionThere’s so much lore packed into this sixty dollar package that you’ll be engrossed in the storynot to mention the vast expansive world that has been finely craftedThe branching paths and party specific dialogue also give Inquisition an incredible amount of replay value; never before directly after finishing a game did I want to replay it an entirely different wayThat’s not to mention the fights with dragons are some of the most satisfying occurrences to be foundDragon Age: Inquisition has it alland while I would like to see BioWare expand upon the addictive multiplayer modeits campaign drove deep into my addictive personality.+We have all-new worlds to exploreImmediately after the opening actyour character is exiled into the European Dead Zone. It’s an Earth destination and the biggest map we’ve ever created by farYou will explore this destination and its lush forests. That’s really where you’ll start your new journey. You’ll journey to Titan, an oceanic moon. The entire moon is one big seabut there are these human installations that were erected during the Golden AgeYou’ll go to Io, which is one of Jupiter’s moons and is the last place the Traveler touched before the CollapseIt’s a place of magic and mysticismFinallyyou’ll go to Nessuswhich is an unstable planetoid that has been completely transformed into a machine world by the Vex.

-The Forza series has never been my cup of teaat least not until Forza HorizonDriving through the beautiful scenery of Colorado in a semi-open world environment really made me appreciate the mechanics behind the serieswhile at the same time had me lightly touching upon the more hardcore tuning aspects. Turn10 Studios and Playground Games were able to expand upon this, bringing us to the luscious and visually breathtaking Southern Europe. It’s the interconnected world that ties into Xbox Live’s social features that really brings the world to lifeas driving through the vast open world will never make you feel aloneIf there’s one racing game you need to play, it’s Forza Horizon 2; it’s certainly the closest well get to another Burnout Paradise.+We liked the way the HunterTitan and Warlock complement each otherIn terms of the lorethese are all disciplines that took centuries to discover and master. At this moment in time, the theme is about losing those abilities and rediscovering them. It’s about mastering them in some new and exciting ways.
+There was no way a Persona game would slip past my radar. Shin Megami Tensei IV was easily my number one [[http://Maps.google.ng/url?q=https%3A%2F%2FWww.linkedin-directory.com%2Fdetails.php%3Fid%3D336458|SLG game money guide]] last year, so it only seems fitting that another in the beloved franchisewhile a spin-off, was among my top 10 in 2014Persona Q is a fan’s dreammeshing both Persona 3 and Persona 4 into a traditional dungeon crawler format similar to that of Etrian Odyssey. While it’s not your traditional Persona format with fusing various monsters and dealing with social interactions outside of dungeons, it maintains all of the glamour and appeal. It definitely has its own set of issues, but theres just too much to love about mashing the characters from the two games and building an intriguing storyline around them.

-Destiny 2 has finallytruly been revealed. Bungie and Activision finally lifted the curtain on the much-anticipated sequelshowcasing gameplay for the first timeHardcore Gamer was able to sit down with Bungie's Community ManagerDavid 'DeeJ' Dauge to discuss what new stuff Destiny 2 brings to the table and what the future holds for the franchise. For more on Destiny 2, be sure to check out our in-depth preview of the campaign, Inverted Spire strike and multiplayer.+It's a bit nerve-racking that lorewhile mentioned, didn’t come up that much, other than story contentWith such a serious overhaul to storygameplay and the two combined, it’s odd that Bungie would leave out what they’ve done for Destiny lore access to the player base. They introduced a number of needed fixes (maps) and while these are already a drastic improvement to the core Destiny game, lore seems out of reach for the moment. It’s not to say that Bungie won’t talk about it later, but still. While not showcasing access to lore, it's most certainly there. For lore nerds like myself, Destiny 2 already looks to be a dream come true.

-While the whole editorial staff contributed to our 2014 awardswe wanted to allow everybody the opportunity to publicly name their personal top 10 games of the yearWhile many did play the majority of releases in 2014please remember that unlike our main awards, the editors are not naming the best games, but their personal favorites out of the selection they played.+Many familiar faces filled the screen as the hour of Destiny 2 played out, characters any player could recognize (Holiday did look slick flying that ship.) Destiny 2 means introducing new faces to the foldfolks that may have been there the whole time, but Guardians were to busy running around the galaxy to pay attention too. At least, that’s what I like to think. Getting down on the people's level though, actually coming down from their Tower, Guardians will hopefully see firsthand the struggles that the Last City had to go through on a daily basisNew places and new faces means new content. Guardians always had a pretentiousness about them. I enjoyed my Guardian, but it felt like we were all on a high horse policing the universe without a care for those we were actually supposed to be protecting. This isn’t a new conceptthougheven having been written into the lore. It's known that children are told stories at night about Guardians to frighten them. Protectors or a something worse? Guardians are undead soldiers after all, Zavalas haunting speech while returning over and over again, shook me. My guardian has done this exact thing, but actually seeing the impact and hearing how twisted it sounded made me feel like one of the children that lives in the Last City.
